Instructor: A Career!Upon completion of the Professional Pilot Program, most students move on to acquire the Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) rating. This enables the newly graduated student to gain experience and skills, whilst building the hours required by most of the major airlines.Becoming an instructor is a very rewarding experience, and the route which most of todays pilots choose to gain experience. The process of becoming an instructor includes ground school as well as practical flight training. Normally, a student require a few hours just getting used to flying from the right hand seat of the aircraft. SAA Flight Training has a continous demand of new instructors as the great majority of our instructors eventually moves on to first officer positions with the airlines. Initially, most students acquire the CFI rating, and later on adds CFI Instrument (CFII) and Multi Engine Instructor (MEI) to develop further in their instructor careers.
